Montana Cooperative Services --- Members Benefits

·        Lower prices for goods and services --- Although we can’t guarantee the lowest price, savings are usually at least10% below the regular discount received and in some cases such as with School Specialty the discount averages 37% verses the usual 20%.

·        Access to over 20 competitive bids.

·        Much of the time you will not even change vendors.

Most products are bid by the AEPA (American Purchasing Association).  This group of 23 states attracts some of the lowest bids due to the fact that it represents over 20 million students.

·        You don’t have to take the time and expense of bidding for yourself.  Montana law allows members of cooperatives to purchase bid items without bidding again.  No $25,000 buying limit.

·        The child nutrition program will save you 5% to 20% depending on how you are purchasing now.

·        Purchasing is done through the vendor that has the bid with MCS and in many cases can be done online.

·        Prices are readily available.

·        Convenient online Ordering guide for members on our web page at www.mtcoop.org .  How to Order Guide.

·        Reasonable cost of joining.  Full Membership is $50.00 plus $1.50/student.  Food only membership is $100.00.  These dues pay for administrative expenses of the cooperative.
